PARENT / TEACHER CONFERENCES

September 17, 2012

Dear Gordon Tech Parent(s) and Guardian(s): Greetings from Gordon Tech!

We are rapidly approaching the conclusion of the first semester in our academic year. To be sure that you have a clear understanding of your son/daughter’s level of academic achievement, Gordon Tech College Prep will be offering a day for you to speak with your son/daughter’s teachers. This will be Thursday, October 4, 2012. Conferences may be scheduled between 12:30PM – 4:00PM and from 4:40PM – 8:00PM. At the conference you will receive an Edline report

Students will be given sign-up sheets on Friday, September 21, 2012 during their first class. They are to bring the sign-up sheet home, and as a family you are to identify the times you wish to come in to visit with your son/daughter’s teacher. Students are encouraged to bring this form back when you have completed it and meet with their teacher to make sure that the appointment time is available. Appointments are filled by first come first serve basis.

In order to reduce waiting times and to offer you an opportunity to meet with as many teachers as possible, please follow the sign-up procedures. It is essential that each student brings the attached registration form to school no later than Thursday, September 27, 2012 to schedule conferences with individual teachers.

Please note that we have scheduled two conference sessions for your convenience. Guidance Counselors will also be available on this day. Teachers’ room locations are included in this communication and will also be available when you enter the building.

Please note that we are having Edline training sessions for parents during the parent/teacher orientation in the Library for any parents who are interested in learning more about Edline and how to use it more effectively.

If you have any questions regarding the registration process, please call Maricela Grillo at 773.423.5003.

We look forward to seeing and speaking with you on Thursday, October 4, 2012. Sincerely,
